Proper Picks – July 2024

It’s the month where we all start jetting off to sunnier climes, which is silly when you think about it. Why aren’t we going to those warm places when it’s cold here? Stupid.

Anyway, here’s our slightly random collection of things we liked the look of recently, thrown together in a loose collection we call Proper Picks. This is the July edition.

Gramicci Dinex Mug
These suave, shapely mugs are the sort of thing that could easily have been teleported from the seventies. They look like something Charlie Brown would have his cordial in. They’re not that though, at all. They’re just really nice mugs made by the perennial Proper faves at Gramicci.

Kavu Mini Remix Rope Bag
OMG, what a surprise, here’s us telling everyone how smart this rope bag is, from Kavu. But it is. Look at it. Balearic/Catalan vibes and idea for a trip to those shores.

Carhartt WIP Stamp Cap
Thankfully yours truly is yet to commence the journey to a full on desert-head, but many of my friends have already taken the plunge and accepted defeat. As a result, this summer is a time I fully expect them to don a cap of this sort. Looks like something remotely England/footbally but obviously isn’t really.

Hikerdelic Underbank Shirt
Speaking of football, you’ll allow us a moment of self-indulgence won’t you? We’re mega chuffed to have used our own Hikerdelic vehicle to celebrate some of the local legends who have done their bit to fuel our hometown’s resurgence. This is available now, but only for pre-sale and only until Friday.

adidas Originals SL72
One of the many classics on which adidas quite rightly hangs its heritage hat.

C.P. Company Corduroy lens overshirt
While the warm weather demands t-shirts, the cooler evenings we inevitably experience here in the UK suggest shirting, specifically of the overshirt variety. Look no further than this splendid effort from longtime top table merchants C.P. Company.
