Proper Picks – September 2024

Here we are, tutting about how hard done-to we are in the UK. It can only be the end of summer. Give it a couple of weeks and we’ll be back in shorts for about 3 days, desperate to squeeze out a few more rays of sun before launching headlong into autumn. It’s with all of this weather in mind, we bring you our monthly collection of desirable items.

Parlez x Messy Weekend Dean Sunglasses
Given we’re looking at September through the hopeful lens of an Indian Summer (plus some of us have booked a few days in Spain for October), we thought it’d be a good point at which to share this lovely link-up between our Bristolian chums at Parlez and our mutual friends in CPH.

adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Trail Running Shoes
This shade of blue gets a bum deal, a bad rap. And other strange phrases to explain how underappreciated it is. In sport, this colour is everywhere but in everyday life? Nada, nish, nowt. It’s a travesty IMO because it’s a lovely hue of blue.

Purple Mountain Observatory Water Repellent Jacket Black
Smooth and stealthy, this is the ideal outerwear for night-time trips to the shop for emergency packed lunch items for a primary school child. That’s glamourous to me. Realistically though, your life is a bit more exciting and as such you’re more likely to wear this while attending a local derby, out with friends or just generally doing your best to look smart. PMO always has a place at that table.
