Hikerdelic’s Mucker Jacket Put to the Test

Though Hikerdelic is a brand we created, conceived and continue to own, we’re always keen to keep that stubborn objectivity Proper has become known for at the forefront of our minds. This means we prefer to let our brand do its own talking, through its own tone of voice on its own channels. Think of it as another member of the same family.

Plus, it’s always tricky saying nice things about something you created, but from a 3rd person perspective. That’s why we were glad when Fin (aka @midnight.35mm) got in touch and asked to put some of our newest jackets to the test.

The Mucker jacket was a perfect choice for he and his pals to take to Chamonix last month , given it takes its name from the colloquial term for ‘friend’. It’s an adaptable, lightweight piece that’ll serve you well in the summertime showers, and also work as a pretty reliable outer shell when the wind whips up, too.

Hikerdelic as a brand is meant to be accessible for all. Though as its name suggests, it has the outdoors at its core, we don’t want to pigeon hole it, hence the pretty wide and perhaps surprising range of collaborations we indulge in. This affects the price point. We’re not out here trying to pretend we’re gonna challenge Arc’teryx in the technical stakes. But what we do is create the best we can for the money we charge, and in the Mucker jacket we reckon we’ve cracked it.
