Purple Mountain Observatory Excavates for AW24

One of our favourite emerging brands in recent years is Carrier Goods… sorry, Purple Mountain Observatory. Yes, they changed their name. We call them PMO now IRL, FYI.

So knowing our weakness for their attractive outerwear, PMO sent us a little preview of what makes up their AW24 range and as ever, it’s right up our street.

Conceptually, they’ve taken inspiration from the slate and copper quarries found in pockets of their native UK. The scarred landscapes left behind by the mining of these striking scenes has left an almost lunar landscape behind and it is that which helps put this new range in context.

It’s not just the nature in these areas that inspires, but also the workers themselves. Whatever the origin, this is another range that won’t demand you sell a grandparent to fund a purchase, yet continues to look like you might have.

What I mean is it’s great and doesn’t cost as much as you’d think.

As is usually the case, PMO teamed up with the lads from Orienteer Mapazine for their seasonal shoot and as is also usually the case, it looks great.
