As we embark on another international football tournament, the nation takes to the pubs and bars as we build ourselves up to be knocked down, throw beer around and generally act the goat.
One beverage you couldn’t imagine being wasted in a euphoric celebration is a lovely pint of the black stuff. Guinness has been around since 1759, that’s the year, not one minute to six. If you’re a modern-day clothing brand looking to pair up with a relevant drinking partner with heritage, you’d struggle to find one as good as Guinness.
Unik Clothing is based in Manchester and offers some very nice t-shirts. It was this that brought them to the attention of the Guinness brand, who reached out with a desire to collaborate. What followed was access to an extensive archive of artwork and advertising material, and an eventual selection of four smart graphics that were applied to tees and hoodies. Naturally all in black and white.
We were fortunate to be invited to the launch event celebrating this ace collab earlier this week, where some excellent pizza was paired with that aforementioned celebrated stout and a lovely time was had by all.
